Proficient at the Hospitality Business; a globally recognized and networked professional – 31 years in the service industry, an Oberoi School alumni awarded the “Young Innovative Manager of the Year 1999-2000”, while working for Holiday Inn and a Nominee of “General Manager of the Year – Luxury Hotels in 1997 ” and “General Manager of the Year-Economy Hotels ”Award in 2002.
Snehal has been known for his people skills and strengths which include project start-ups and development, re-positioning & re-branding and turning around businesses. Land Acquisition and Franchisee Management has been one of his many expertise areas. He pioneered in the pre-opening of two Holiday Inn Hotels among many which he managed as General Manager. He also initiated and led a number of hotel & restaurant outlets across India which included exposure in multiple hotels and growing the KFC & Pizza Hut brand in South and Western India. As Country Head for AmRest Restaurants he brought in European partnerships (from Poland and Spain) into the country.
His core competencies also include setting up and managing processes, cost controls, multi-skilling, marketing and building shareholder value. He also holds immense knowledge in planning for Spa & Golf Resorts. His exposure in the Hospitality Industry includes working with The Oberoi, Inter-Continental Hotel Group, Mars Hospitality Group, Kalpataru Pvt. Ltd., AmRest etc.

“A Chef by Heart, and A Facilitator by Mind”, after pursuing PG in Hotel Accommodation, Operations and Management from the National Council of Hotel and Catering Management & one-year certificate course in Trade Cookery from the IHM, Chennai, Chander joined the hotel industry in the year 1981.
Having been in the hotel industry for the past 34 years, he has garnered experience in all fields related to hotel Administration. His main interest has been in food & beverages department and has done a lot of work in Italian And Indian cuisine too. He has had the fortune of working in very varied hotel companies and in-flight catering establishments (including Oberoi Flight Services, Delhi) in various positions from a commis trainee to Chief Executive Officer. Having risen through the ranks, it has helped in relating to the problems at hand practically and to act as a ‘change manager’ in diverse situations.
He was until April 2016, the Group CEO at The Grand Bhagwati Hotels, Resorts, Banqueting & Conventions and he was one of the main frames of their successes. He was associated with them for more than 12 years and was instrumental in getting them listed on the BSE. He has also been the master mind behind the execution of projects like – SHANKU’S Resorts & Water Park – Ahmedabad. He has worked with the Oberoi group, Le- Meridien, Holiday Inn and Taj & several independent properties in Gujarat. Among his significant achievements he has managed reputed weddings in destinations like US, Muscat and Macau. He was also the man behind the expansion and opening of Gujarat’s biggest restaurant chain – SANKALP in the United States.

A go-getter from the Start, A Hotel management Graduate – Bangalore University, MBA in Hospitality and Marketing; got associated during his initial years with brands like Taj Group, Ramanashree, Group, Best Western, Choice Group of Hotels and Raheja Group.
Having an exposure of hard core Hotel Operations for more than 18 years and expertise of working and developing the various hospitality brands from scratch to a case study level naming “Sayaji Group of hotels” and played key role in building Sayaji Grande a brand, created and launch the concept of ‘Sayaji Grand’, the Hotel-in-Hotel (suites only) Portion of Sayaji meant exclusively for the Ultra-Premium Guests. A well known chain of restaurants “Barbeque Nation” also emerged during his tenure with Sayaji.
With expertise and reputation of turning brands, He headed the hotel division of Neesa Group at their premium property – Cambay Spa & Resorts in Gandhinagar, Gujarat with the highly challenging assignment in operations management. His inputs and team management skills saw the group’s transformation from a 36 Room Property to 194 Room Property at Gandhinagar to a Chain of Hotels & Resorts with more than 1000 keys overall. His exposure is emense from taking over of the Pre-opening of a hotel or resort to making it operational. In a short span of 5 years, his leadership showcased 9 new projects of NEESA’s own, which were launched successfully. His overall experience encompasses all aspects of Revenue & Cost based Hotel Operations & day to day business management, which results in a profitable operations.
